DEI Funding Programme – Perfect fit for EUROGIA2020 Participants in the Netherlands

Brussels, BELGIUM – 22/04/2016: As a result of discussions with the Netherlands Enterprise Agency (RVO), the Netherlands declares its support for EUROGIA2020, the EUREKA Cluster for low carbon energy technologies and DEI programme will serve as a national funding platform for the Dutch Participants of EUROGIA2020 Projects.

DEI (Demonstration Energy Innovation) programme gives priority to the fields such as Gas, Energy Storage, Smart Grids, Offshore Wind and Solar Energy which are covered by the EUROGIA2020 Technology Roadmap and providing the basis for building strong cooperation between two instruments.

Although DEI programme is dedicated to funding Dutch organizations only, transnational cooperation is encouraged and therefore project proposals including international partners will be supported.

Dutch Participants of EUROGIA2020 projects, which successfully complete EUROGIA2020 project submission process, are invited to apply for DEI programme to enable the access of their high quality EUROGIA2020 project to public funds in the Netherlands.

DEI programme aims to support

-  the demonstration of new energy technologies and  new applications
-  permanent installation /investment
-  direct contribution to renewable energy production or energy saving
-  only new investments

So far more than 20 projects met DEI criteria and approximately received 30M Euros of subsidies. The budget for year 2016 is determined as 44M Euros with a maximum budget of 6M Euros per project.

Why EUROGIA2020?
EUROGIA2020, the EUREKA Cluster for low carbon energy technologies, supports and promotes innovative energy technologies with the aim of mitigating climate change.

Two  calls  for  projects  are  launched  each  year  and  every  call  has  a  two-step  project submission process, through which project proposals are assessed and receive recommendations from EUROGIA2020 Technical Committee. Proposals completing evaluation steps receive EUROGIA2020 label and accordingly apply for public funds in EUREKA Countries where projects are operated.

EUROGIA2020 has an excellent track record with 37 project representing 200M Euros since 2008.
